Ed Balkan's
focus has been on documentary and television projects over a period of 25 years. He has also managed film departments for large corporations and has worked with and produced films for companies in England, Europe and the Pacific Rim. He supervised the production of many different types of show: the launch and assembly of the Space Station Laboratory, the life and living conditions of the people of Micronesia, the war for Israeli independence and others. Ed Balkan participated in the launching of the British Satellite Broadcasting (BSB) system (now Sky Broadcasting), producing complete film and television coverage of what the new system would bring to Great Britain. Many of these shows contained sophisticated, high quality computer-generated animation.
He carries the Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Master of Science in Education and English, both from University of Southern California.
